    Wybron Motovator—Free to good home...

There's an interested party making arrangements to pick up the equipment, but if that falls through, I'll be sure to post here. You could probably get it all in a cargo van, there is one piece (the truss mounted roller drop) that's 10' long....

    Control/Dimming DMX Splitter perhaps

Wybron Forerunner Scrollers use similar grey dials to set the address. I think you're on your way!

    Best LEDs for small theaters

I volunteer at a similarly sized community theatre (150 seats, about 14' high grid), and we've been using 14 TyLED 36w RGBAW par cans to do the same sort of work you're thinking about. In our experience, they do a fine job. I would recommend them as a good place to start your LED travels...

    Cues & Submasters

Agree strongly with using groups instead of submasters. We do that on our Element all the time. Now I have to see if we have the same cool Direct Select functionality on our board as Steve does on his!!! I love Control Booth!

    DAK UEM-83R Shotgun Mic

Discovered one of these in the back of our storage unit, without any documentation of course. Called DAK, who had no info on it since they no longer sell them. Does anyone have any user manuals or other info on the proper use, care and feeding of this mic? Are they of any practical use on a...

    New LED Instrument Opportunity

I think the Pars may be the way to go, as many of our productions are staged such that only part of the stage is lit at a time, so the long strips might be too much. Our pipes are less than 20' over the stage, so the throws are relatively short. What sort of beam size/angle do the Pars have?

    New LED Instrument Opportunity

I am the volunteer Tech Director at a non-profit community theatre, mostly straight plays and a musical or two per season. We have an opportunity to invest between $4,000 and $6,000 in some new instruments for our main stage and studio "black box". Our current rig consists of mostly old...

Control/Dimming Old-style memory cartridge for a Status lighting contoller?

+1 on the Element. We recently replaced our old Melange Pro with the Element 40-500. It gives you a control for 120 channels and 40 subs, and ETC has been a pleasure to work with in supporting all our volunteers' questions as we learn about the board.

You're correct, socket, not base or lamp cap. It's only been about 23 years since I've done any of this. Really appreciate the help in getting back up to speed!
